My shocks or something squeek...help!!!

I have an 02 Ta.. lately my front and back are squeeking over the bumps on the roads.... what is it that actually creeks and squeeks? What can I do to stop it? It's a loud squeek its so annoying!!!! HELP!!! THANKS GUYS!

i know EXACTLY what you are talking about ive had this problem the entire time ive had my car....the dealer said it was the bushings and "replaced them" i doubt they did cause it didnt fix anything...have lubed them oiled them, replaced them and all the works...i hear the best is to go with a poly bushing and replace my shocks....poly bushings would be the cheap attempt to fix the problem...ill do it this summer once i get some cash and ill elet you know how it goes

wow man... its like you own my car lol...weird thing huh? It just started out of nowhere!!! My mech told me to try white lithium grease since that does not wash off like wd40...quieted the front but not the rear...

My car is the same year as yours so I bet you have low miles as well? I have 55k!! come on!! My mech checked the bushings and said they were perfect!! And he said the shocks wouldnt squeek...only the springs....

Well you really think poly bushings would do it? And why would you say that is a cheap attempt? Whats the best attempt? Link to these bushings and some info on install if possible?

i noticed it does not squeek in the rain...hopefully it is for good...will try in dry weather tomorrow..

uh mine does that too..only on the passenger side rear...maybe we all have that problem...

yea mine does it on the passenger side rear also. but mine just started doing it about 2 weeks ago. i've been searching for info about it since. hopefully someone here knows something about it

MUAHAHAH mine stopped...i may have found a solution...hopefully it does not return.. well here goes:

My mech told me to use some silicon spray...but then I saw white lithium grease( bought at any auto zone or advance store) and asked him about it. He said go for the white lithium grease as it wont dry out or wash off...well I bought it.

I sprayed it on every piece of the suspension...and in every little hole...I used almost the whole can...

All in all after a few bounces the front( which wasnt the loudest anyways..) quieted...but back continued..I was frustrated.

Then it began to rain while driving....the noise stopped!!!! Weird...i guess the rain pushed the grease into the most needed spots!!! So....

I recommend buy some while lithium grease spray for 4 bucks or so at any auto parts store and spray all over the bushings, bars, linkages. and springs/shocks...everywhere!!! Then either grab a pressure hose...or go to an automatic car wash and get the undercarrigae wash...the pressured water should push the grease where it wouldnt go with just the spray....now bounce around for a while and voi la....see if it works. If it does tell me. And not recommend at auto car wash for lt1's of course....
