Engine won't start...? Meh.

Hi there,

Right I am not sure which forum to post this in so I thought this one would cover me best. I have just had a new cam installed TS224 114/114 and some new rockers and lifters and I have just been told that my mechanic can't get the car to run. He said it will turn over but not catch. Now I am pretty sure that its not the programming because its quite a mild cam, and he said that he has tried the electrics and they are fine but the fuel pump is not getting any fuel and I am going to have to pay £500 quid for a new fuel pump/system. Can someone just confirm that its probably not the CPU and lack of tuning casuing the problem because I have been told that its quite a mild cam and wouldn't require tuning at this point.

Any advice grateful.

Ta.

Thanks CamaroKid, I have complete faith in this site, there have been loads of great and helpful people on here and I am sure someone will be able to advise me. You're right in terms of the tune but having spoken to various members on here as well as Texas Speed (where my cam is from) and the people at PCMforless I was told that the cam that I was installing was quite a mild one and therefore would be ok without a tune at this point in time, this is purely as I plan on making one or two more mods and don't want to have to keep getting it tuned, which as you can appreciate is quite tricky over here in England.
