Couple Questions
I've decided to save up a few questions instead of making a bunch of threads. First:What is the 0-60 time on a stock ss 2002 with all the options from slp? Second: How well do 02 SS's with all the options handle out of the box? Third: I decided to get a new shift knob for the car since the guy I bought it from had this giant ugly ball one. Do I need to get anything special along with the knob? And also how do i put it on? Is it screw on and off? Fourth and final: Where would I get stock gauges for the car? Thanks guys for the help!

the fastest test i ever saw for a stock 02 ss with the 345 option from slp was 4.9 0-60..but i have to be honest they must have had the launches down pat for a run like that..that was in an m6 btw...i believe it was car and driver or roand and track...too long ago to article search on their websites
![]() if you look on most sites it will tell you 5.5 seconds...i believe it is a faster car than that and most certainly it depends on the driver... 5.5, 5.3, 5.2, 5.1, 5.0, 4.9, 4.8...just found those numbers in about 5 mins looking...so apparently numbers differ..and dont even think about asking ford guys haha cause youll get a whole other set of numbers...which will most likely see 5.5 as way too fast...the majority of the numbers above are from respectable sources as for how it handles...dont take my word for it...take road and tracks...i believe its about an 01...but the 01 and 02 are very similar cars "Chevrolet Camaro SS The Camaro is a very smooth car to drive with nice linear power and a broad powerband. It feels stable and planted through quick corners — even sliding, it still feels very connected, so you're not worried about what it's going to do. Compared with the Corvette, driving the SS is easier physically. This car, you could lap all day." ( http://www.roadandtrack.com/article....&page_number=8 ) ss vs z06 http://www.roadandtrack.com/article....&page_number=3 the knob just turns off...its threadded...the hurst shifter is really nice in my opinion..nice grip and stylish and you can tweak it one way or the other to fit your hand better than a knob as for the stock guages...check www.slponline.com...or visit your local gm dealer parts dept and they can order from gm directly

Thank you very much, i appreciate it. Also now i have some sort of problem. I was leaving the gym tonight and when I turned on the car it almost died with the clutch in. It dropped to like 500 rpm. Then I let it sit there and it went up to 700 which is still lower then normal. Then I was driving it home and every time I would be coming to a stop, I would put the clutch in and the rpm's would drop to 500 then when I would sit there they would go back to 700. The car never died but it was alarming. Anyone know what this could be? I will drive the car to work tomorrow and see what happens.

How else would I be able to tell? Would that be normal at 18000? I learned stick a month ago and I wonder if im not burning the clutch out with the hills around my house.
