Unhappy Battery problem...

Just recently my check gauges light kept coming on and I was wondering why...then I noticed everything was going slower...even my blinker, windows, everything!!!

My voltage was reading real low.

So I charged my battery today at autozone. I put it back in and the voltage meter sits right at the tip of the yellow part....is that normal? If it goes back down, will it be a battery problem or an alt. problem.( If it is an alternator problem...what would cause it to go out so soon!!! only 55k miles on this beast...) THANKS!

Mileage on the car doesn't mean anything. Parts can fail at any time. If you already replaced the battery then the next thing is the alternator. Make sure all your cable and connections are good and tight first.

I didnt replace the battery...I charged it at the autozone... it tested and charged good. So then my voltage is reading low?

Cables are good.

have the alternator tested, id say it is on its way out most likely.

im guessing myself lyger...just charger for the second time...will drive to advance to get it tested...sigh... car died completely after charging the batt the first time..

any tips on an ls1 alternator install? I decided to spray my whole engine down with some degreaser and rinse her welll./...since batt, and alternator are off....

well i got that b i t c h out..... god it sucked...

well it was pretty easy, except it was crammed out there, and didnt take out anything else...because I did not want to reinstall anything else... but its out...now for the new one to go in...muahahahah!
