Yeah mine did that to, had to replace the window motor myself. Just wait a little bit like 10 or 20 minutes then try it. Its not a hard job took me about an hour, just gotta drill out the old rivets and put in new motor with new bolts

Well this has happened before and when I last took it in to have it fixed they dismantled my door (which I can do by myself) and simply plugged in something to make it work again. I'm starting to think this is again the problem as the motor isn't quite THAT bad, given it is slow... What could possibly come unplugged from inside the door? And how would I go about plugging it back in?

The only thing that could come unplugged is the motor although i dont see how that could happen the plug on mine was in there pretty good but you could check it anyway just reach your hand in there with the door panel off and check the back of the window motor to see if the plug is still in there. Maybe your window is pushing the plug out of the motor when you put the window down or something i dont know, try moving the wires as far away from the glass as possible
