Best launch techs?

I have an M6 and when I go to the track, it is super sticky and it was hot both days, I still spin all through first and scratch in 2nd and chip in 3rd. My 60 ft and 1/4 all together were pretty dang lousy 14.6's ( 90 degress 85% , humidity)
well I was launching between 4500-5500. I saw one guy in a bullet stang launch at real low rpm's and his car ran good, what is your advice?
thanks clint

what type of tires and suspension do you have...cus not only is that way to high for a stock tire and rear end ..u can damage your rearend....launch lower like a 2000 or so and drop air pressure down....just at the track remove your swaybar but remember to put it back after you drive.

You are definitely launching way too high. A little more info on your mods would be nice to know

Heating up stock tires won't do you much good. A couple spins to get the dirt off maybe yes but no need to heat them up

Alright

It seemed that when I would run against the bullet stang, I would be gaining on him all the way down the track, but now I know why I had crappy times, I tried one launch at 2200 but it just spun and redlined, but I also dumped it. So next wednesday after I get my new tires Ill see what I can get!

Just ease into the throttle and slowly release the clutch and you should be ok. You will eventually get the hang of it.

Definitally launching from that high is not gonna do you any good enless you are running 28 inch slicks with a 12 bolt to back them up.

I would say anywhere from 2000-3000 and try not to dump too much, but don't baby it too much either. It is a fine line to walk.
