Blackouts

hello. i'm a newbie. i have a question about blackouts for lt1 style camaro's. i've been looking for headlight blackouts for my 96z28, but i can't seem to find the ones that cover the open headlight part AND wrap around and cover the painted black edge on our cars. all i can find are the short ones that only cover the open headlight part. it makes it even harder that most websites that sell blackouts don't have pictures of the actual blackouts, just some generic picture. i know somebody out there has to have them, so if anyone knows which company makes them or better yet can give me a part number or let me a know a website where they sell them, i'd appreciate it! thank you!

so i'm looking for these....

ws6store didn't have the correct blackouts either (they had GTS that only covered the headlight opening). where are these blackouts . i think my last hope is AVS blackouts. does anybody have AVS headlight blackouts?? are they the full wrap around type?? i'm beginning to think nobody makes those full sized blackouts anymore....

On the main camaro page on rksport, the camaro they show appears to have wraparound blackouts and I don't think they would show a product they dont sell? http://rksport.com/main/catalog_deta...atid=4&appid=7
If you call them let us know what you find out, because i want some too.

Also on the product discription page they look like they wrap around. http://rksport.com/main/part_detail....mdid=1&catid=1

yea, rksport does have the wrap around ones on their website, which is why i was so confident this was going to be an easy upgrade. so when they shipped the ones that weren't wrap around i was mad b/c they DO show products that they don't sell. if you look at the picture it says something like "actual product may differ." but i'm going to give them another call. i'm going to contact rk sport again and lmperformance, maybe they have the old style rksport ones...

Z28hustle, pm me if you have no use for those blackouts and they're complete in good condition.

I had the AVS headlight covers on my 93z. Unfortunantly they blow off to easy, as a matter of fact my wife was driving the car one day, and they blow off, flying over the hood. She thought they were 2 birds, but we never found them. They looked good and made it look like a 98z.

well bad news...i called rksport and they said that they changed vendors that produce their blackouts, that's why they are different. then i called lmperformance, and they are out of the "old style" of rksport headlight covers. from all the places i checked it seems that all we're left w/ is the blackouts that only cover the open headlight part. anybody out there have wrap around blackouts they don't want (that are in good condition b/c they're going on a semi-show car). please let me know, thanks!
