Unhappy Stripe Kit ???

Am going to get the front bumper on my '97 anniv. car repainted. Went to a dealer to get replacement stripes. The parts guy asked for my VIN. He then said stripes were not available on '97's, but only on '02's. I said look at the car, it has stripes. He said someone added them afterwards. I told him that I know cars and parts, the stripes ARE original on 3500 anniversary cars. Maybe they are disco, but they were available. He insisted that they were NOT stock. Then I told him his computer was wrong. He got really hot, and I walked out.
Eastwood repos stripes, but it's $200+ for the whole package.

Here is some ammo for you. Ask him what he thinks this is, then tell him you ordered it from another dealer.

Thanx for all the support. I'm going to another dealer with the part & group #'s that "shoebox" supplied.
