Arrow All These D*** Codes!!!

hey guys i need some serious help. i had computer codes pop up on my car before. the first time is started was at th track about 3 weeks ago. half way down the track on my 1st run, my engine light went on. i pulled codes 0101-maf and 0420- pass cat. so i put new magnaflow high flow cats and flowmaster exhaust catback and slp maf. i cleared the light. now its good. i go for a ride on the highwaya few hrs later and decide ..... let me take for a good run. than you know what happens!!! CHECK ENGINE light pops back after i let off the throttle!!! i go home furious and pull the codes again. what do i get 0101- maf! 0171-system too lean bank 1 and system too lean bank 2 ! WTF!! can anyone help me out? not to mention i need to get an inspection and they wont overlook the engine light.

Your lean codes are pry set because your MAF isn't reading right......which could be from a leak in the intake tubing.

They CAN'T overlook the light, it plugs into the computer and it is going to automatically fail you whether the inspector wants to pass you or not.

I think I mentioned this in your other thread - you need to take a good look around the MAF area. Is the wiring corroded? Is the connector corroded? Is there a tear in the tubing anywhere? Did you forget to hook up a vaccuum line etc? If the system is too lean then there is excess unmetered air....
