Needed for window motor rebuild?

Hi, I'm wondering if anybody can tell me exactly what should come with a replacement window motor? I bought one from autozone with the intention of seeing what size the bolts that replace the factory rivets are, getting my own bolts at a hardware store, returning the motor and then just rebuilding my motors; as they still work, just not well. My problem is that it came with some tiny little bolts (about 1/2 long) and about 5 or 6 brackets? Can anyone tell me if I'm gonna need those brackets, or do I just need the bolts? Thanks for the help.

How do you intend to rebuild the motor? I have never seen any additional brackets and don't see why any would be needed.

I just replaced my motor and the bolts came with the motor, it only takes two bolts, and they are very small, but the way the unit is made it does not take alot to keep the motor in place, the problem I had was the regulator, the holes have been made bigger with the moveing of the window up/down. I put on a little larger washer and used some med-lock tight, the washers helped to keep the regulator from moving, got my motor from rockauto.com for about $38.00, I was able to change in about hour or so, need small hands.

The motor should have 3 fasteners.

Hey thanks for the info, I'm just hoping to get em apart and change out the grease as I heard somewhere that could work. I just need to get em working well enough to last a little while longer as I'm planning on selling the car sometime in march or april.

Seriously, it's not really worth the effort to take them apart and try to fix them.

I agree! Way to much of a hastle, and if they don't work, you have to tear into the door panel again and lets face it. GM isn't exactly known for its quality/ long lasting interior.
