Fuel filter line

i was changing my fuel filter today and the rubber/plastic line that comes from the fuel tank bent! i thought it was just a hard rubber fuel line but it feels like plastic...it made a crease but didnt crack...i drove it and no leaks...what is this line made of and are they made to bend like that? can i replace it if it becomes a problem later?

I believe its a hard plastic. you should be ably to pick up a piece of it at your local parts store and you can splice them hoses together.
