Are you talking about aftermarket gauges or factory gauges?

Voltmeter is pretty easy, you just tap it into any 12v power source. Most likely an ignition source so the gauge only reads when the car is on.

As for oil pressure, they include a sending unit with the gauge, you screw that in and wire the gauge to it.

Both gauges will have to be grounded and you'll also have to wire up the lights to one of your headlight wires so they'll light up when your headlights are on. The lights will have to be grounded as well. Um. I guess the oil pressure will have to have an ignition source as well if I remember correctly. There are a lot of wires going to that gauge.
