Tire Fitment

I was wondering if anyone knew if 29.5x10.5 on 15 inch rim will fit under my 95 camaro and what size rim and back spacing and if not the biggest that will fit.

thanks
Chris

You will deff have to Jack the back of the car up some to fit a 29" tall tire. 15x 10.5 will fit, may have to grind down the caliper though. Can I ask why you want a 29" tall tire though????? You are gonna need some rear gear for it.

You will have issues getting the 29" to fit and will need to cut some of the rear bumper cover off I run 28"s and they even hit the rear bumper cover before I made some modifactions.

The 28x10.5 will hook all day long if you have your suspension set up correctly.

You will have no issues with a 28" tall tire. There are plenty of 1000+ hp cars running on 28's. The key is matching your gearing properly to hit the 1.4 and lower 60' times.

Yes you can get a 10" rim to fit but you will have to do some modifications to the inside of the fenderwell. With the 8" rim you really dont have to do much if anything. Basically grinding the brake calipers because the backspacing on most drag wheels dont clear the brakes. For a 10" wheel you will need 7.5" b/s and for an 8" wheel you will need 5.5" b/s. Here are a couple of pics with my car and they are 15x10 Pro Stars with 28x10.5W ET Drags.
