Z28 Front Bumper

I have just purchased a 1970 LT1 Z28. It is not an RS but I would like to change out the front bumper with the split bumpers. Is this as easy as it seems or is there a catch?

Thanks

should be easy. The only problems i have heard of with front end swaps with second gens is swapping a 79 with a 70. Should be fairly easy. I like the split bumpers alot better. good luck with the swap.

as long as you have all the mounting hardware it will bolt right up. it really cleans up the front end and makes it look pretty mean.

The actual RS front end is different than the standard front, but the split bumpers will bolt onto a non RS front but it won't be correct you have to replace both the upper and lower valance and marker/turn signal lens plus the center urathane bumper section for a RS front and the bumperettes for a complete RS front. the RS has the signal lamps in the upper section of the valance where the standard has the marker/signals at the bottom of the lower valance ..
