Firebird help

Well guys, a while back I bought a bird shell to use for the camaro, but have since decided to build both. I need a good local (nj) source for used parts. Any body have any ideas. I have seen Frank's, but I am hoping for a place I can drive to after work and scour a while or something.

I have spent a tiring amount of time on ebay and craigslist, and the yellow pages didnt quite work out either. In northern jersey, a lot of great cars went to heaven thanks to eyesore laws and registration requirements, so finding classic parts in general is a challenge. I was kind of hoping for maybe a word of mouth connection or something. The camaro-firebird shop in paterson has become a general junkyard with no f-bodies in inventory at all, like 12 years ago, and after that there doesn't seem to be much more. The boneyards have new cars only at this point...oh well

You want new sheetmetal whenever possible, but I've had great luck buying parts on eBay. Here's a partial list of what I've bought:

1. A new MSD distributor - $130 (retail $270)
2. A new Weiand Stealth intake (clear powder coated!) - $75 ($125 before coating)
3. New Crane Fireball heads - $650 ($1500 when you could buy them)
4. A rebuilt 8.5" 10-bolt with 3.73 posi and disc brakes - $800 ($1300)
5. New ivory houndstooth seat covers - $250 ($550)
6. A complete 302 engine block - I won't say (priceless)
7. New Cosworth pistons for the 302 - $400 ($1200 when made)
7. Rebuilt Delco power brake booster - $50
8. New MSD-6AL ignition control - $125 ($240)

I could go on, but most of these were much better deals (including shipping) than I could have gotten locally. I drove to Carlisle to pick up the 302 engine and paid the seller $50 to deliver the 10 bolt, but otherwise everything else went UPS/Fedex - the heads cost over $125 to ship!
