got my alpine

got my sub monday. been waiting for a month for it. its a alpine swr 1222d. i got a 500 watt mono alpine amp to power her up. and i`m working on another 300 watt alpine amp & a set of alpine 6x9 to. along with the boses factory speaker system in the car. i got a clarion head unit with sub outs on her. i am gonna get a alpine head unit one day. but for now i think she will sound pretty good. when i got it together i`ll come back in here and tell you guys about it.

nice man...my alpine 6x9s i have sound pretty good! i just need some in the door panels..but other then that they are good!

got my box finaly done, had to mod it 2 times. was gonna go with none port . but it wouldnt hit hard so i ported it now i got to let it dry (glue). it should do the trick. i`ll take some pics and post them when i`m done.

Did you build a box using and design a port using modeling software or mfg recommendations or something? If not, check out winisd.

man what a big diff on port and none port it hits harder then any sub i ever owned in the past. still need to dress up the box.

Was the box originally sealed? Did you add a port in the existing box?

Out of curiosity, how many cf is the box after sub and port displacement? What is it tuned to?

yea its the same box. i cut a port and put 2 baffles in there, its about 3 cf, 60 htz
