Audio wars- What's the Best?

Alpine vs. JL vs. Infinity for normal speakers (not subs). What is better and why do you think so? If you prefer something else throw it out there.

Need 6x9's, 5.25's, and 2" tweeters.

Thinking of this set up ( I refuse to go with any other receiver than JVC)
Alpine SPR-13S 5-1/4" component speaker system at Crutchfield.com
Alpine SPR-69C 6"x9" 2-way car speakers at Crutchfield.com
JVC KD-HDR50 CD receiver at Crutchfield.com

I have the infinity 5.25 loudspeakers up front and I love them. I had 6.5" alpine in my truck which I would rate 7.5/10 then pretty much down graded to sony to match the deck 7/10, 6.5" pioneer in the boat that would get 8/10 and the best high volume clarity goes to the infinity speakers even right off the factory amp.

In my Z I have some Infinity Kappa components up front and some Alpine Type R as rear fills, but I got them because they were below cost through accommodations direct from the manufacturer...JL has lines like the TR, ZR , C2 and C5 and they cost some more....also I would recommend running a 4 channel amp to your front and rear speakers to get better sound...

Yup, what Alan said. I would always run a 250-500w amp to the 4 "inside" speakers just for clarity. Then, if you want subs, run an amp on those as well. As for the best brands, It's almost like asking who makes the best cam, They are all pretty much great, but what do you like and what can you afford.

wow you guys got too much money. I bought 4 6x9 for the front doors and middle speakers from MTX and paid 50 a piece. I don't think they are bad but Now I wish I had saved up a little more and bought some JL Audio speakers. The clarity is awesome and hardly any distortion at all.
