Whats up fellow Z-men and Z-ladies?

First I would like to say that I am the proud owner of two z-28s. My first one is a 1995 Z with a few bolt ons. Enough to get a 13.5 out of it. But i had a little accident and now it needed some cosmetic work in the front. It was gonna cost me about $3000 out of pocket so i'd been putting it off ..........................for a couple of years. I know I know...its sad. But im also proud to say that i've seen the light!! While searching for the parts to fix it, i came across a pretty sweet deal on a 1998 z-28. And yes......I bought it. It has an SLP cold air intake and a flowmaster bolt on exaust system. From what i hear flowmaster is not the top choice for the z-28, but will it work for now or do i need to change it? Does anyone have any ideas on wht i need to do next? Keeping in mind that i DO have a budget!! I will add pics very soon of both cars. Thanks

It'll work for now. You won't see a whole lot of improvement over the flowmaster muffler. If you go with magnaflow like myself and a lot of others you might like the over all tone. I'm going to save up and by magnaflow bullit mufflers and run a full duel exhaust setup.

You wont see any improvements as for power switching from flowmaster to magnaflow and the flowmaster will be louder depending on which flowmaster you go with but the magnaflow in my opinion has a little better tone to it. If you like the sound then I wouldn't change it and I would put the money to something else, like a fund to fix your other Z.

welcome to the site! first off anyone who puts down flowmaster can go grab a hose and throw it into an exhaust than into their mouth!!! i have had flowmaster on all of my vehicles and have loved the sound it really depends on what type of sound you like, i hate magnaflow but thats my opinion.

Welcome! I say keep the flowmaster if you like it. You'll quickly learn exhaust systems and headers (okay, maybe cams too ) are the most hotly contested mods we make to our cars. EVERYONE has an opinion AND we're ALL right!

I say do sub frame connectors first, then continue on with the suspension work before you put too much HP to the wheels. If you can't hook you're wasting it. Maybe throw in a good set of headers when you can. I RECOMMEND Pacesetter long tubes.
