02 z28 / 69 z28

Hey,
Here are some pics of a 69 Z28 I built in highschool (The pic is current, and my dad and I re-built it). Nothing too powerful, but it rides like a Cadillac. There are 2 pics of another 69Z that was my brother's. Ill get some updated pics of the 02 Z28 (Its come a long way since I took a picture).
Also--does anyone know about a special starter (or one thats cheaper than $380 for OEM). I tried three different cheaper aftermarket starters. Its an LS1 with american racing s.s. longtubes. I know I need to protect it from heat now, but I would hate to pay that much for a starter. The stock starter has a long and a short bolt. The aftermarket deals have two long bolts, so the bracket won't clear the tubes. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jason

Real Z's. I know the red one has 2nd or 3rd gen mirrors, and it has the RS light covers. We weren't worried about staying original on that one. The blue has some new AC and Alt brackets, but mostly original. We bought the blue with the original DZ302. It was a great motor. The red is deff custom class now. 13" front and rear Wildwood, sub frames, RAM-Jet fuel inj 350, Currie rear, etc

Loving those Camaros.

Post up your starter q's in the tech section. Some gear heads only hang in there.

Here's a bump for his starter question. Anyone? He tried posting in the tech section, but no answer yet.
