2nd Annual Tufts Auto Show! April 20th!

Hey everyone, this year the Tufts University car club will be having our second annual car show. This year we have gotten a far more desirable date to host it(april 20th) as opposed to last year's date(easter sunday). Rain date is Monday April 21st. Here's some info:

Location:
Cousens Gym Parking Lot
161 College Avenue
Medford, MA 02155

Time:
Open at 11:30 AM
Car entry closes at 1:30 PM or when parking lot fills
Trophies around 2:30-3:00 PM

Price:
- Free to Spectate
- $10 dollars to Participate
- $5 if in pre-registered group of 3 or more
- $5 if Tufts University Student/Faculty/Alumni(must present ID card)

Parking:
To pre-register as a group of 3 or more, e-mail me at Andrew.Nelson@Tufts.edu with names, car makes, and car models. Spots will fill as they come for all after pre-registered groups.

Trophies:
We will be giving out trophies by a popular vote in these categories: top 3 imports, top 3 domestics, top 3 european, best exotic, best truck/SUV, best bike, and Best in Show(1st, 2nd, and 3rd places). We will also be giving out these awards by club voting: Sleeper Award, GTS Type R Award, Muscle Award, Club Award, and nicest Tufts student/alumni/faculty car.

Events:
There will be at least a loudest exhaust competition like we had last year but possible a burnout competition as well, more on that later.

Food:
We will have food vendors at this event so no one will go hungry. There are some great pizza places for lunch as well as a concession stand.

Hey man, I'll be emailing in a day or two to pre-register 3 cars. I'll have my 94 Z28, LE1 heads cam bolt on's rims yadda yadda, and my two buddies one with a 95 300GT VR4 Spyder and the other with a 94 Mustang GT with alot of stuff done! Just hope the weather is good, how many cars you expecting?

My friend's gonna be happy to see a Z28 with the LE1 heads/cam package. He was looking into getting that for his 94 Z28 but then his school costs increased so he couldn't afford it.

We're looking at getting 80-100 cars or so. If weather is definitley going to be bad for sunday, rain date is monday but we're just hoping on good weather for sunday.

Sweet, can't wait and I'll show him my car, I have a bit done do it. I see you're going to have a loudest exhaust comp. will it have to be through a muffler or are cutouts allowed? I ask because I think I have a decent shot of winning if it's through the muffler... (Pacesetter long tubes, no cat and the loud flowmaster)...

Loudest exhaust last year was anything goes so feel free to open those cutouts(for the competition). Last year's winner was a Chevy Tahoe with a carbed 350, headers, and cutouts. We were deaf for the next 15 minutes.

Dang I don't have cutouts, guess I won't be able to hold a candle to something that does... Ohh well I emailed and regestered for me and my 3 friends, I just hope my new rims and tires are in by then!

Iroc, I'm already on there and posted in both of the threads, seems like no one really know's what's going on so I'm just meeting my friends here at school then heading over to the show. You going?
