I have nixed the rims for now. I am buying a nicely built A4 and a 3200 stall. Appearance will be last.

I plan on rebuilding the entire stock 10-bolt and swapping out the tranny/stall in July.

What's a month? I started working on the car some more. Menu: built A4 swap and trans cooler, DS balance and u-joints, 373 gears, seals and bearings, rear slotted/drilled discs and pads, and new bump stops. And a flash on the pcm.

I should be done in 2 weeks. Prob have to wait on the tuner to come to Fort Myers again.

Here's a few pics. The ds is off for balancing and u-joints. The carrier is getting new bearings pressed on. When I p/u those parts, I can put everything back together. I am trying to swap A4's this weekend.



I saw this car while on vacation. Sweet. I used to have a couple fords like that one also.

I got the rearend and DS back from the shop. A little paint and its going back in.

I swapped rr's to 1.52s and thanks Tim. (95 Formula)

I am adding 2 guages (trans temp and AFR), adding a line lock, moving the IAT sensor, deleting the manual fan switch, adding elec vacuum pump and trans cooler.

The next 2 days are all about the Z baby.

why are you adding a vac pump? is that cam that bad of a sucker?

Yeah, I cant believe it. I checked all the hoses and replaced some. I also replaced the check valve. I will wait and see if I need it. If so, it will be installed. I know when I was doing a drivability tune, he was amazed there was no vacuum at idle. It sounds like a wicked ass cam. I will definitely post up a video of the idle.

99.9% done

All is done and ready to go to the shop. I cant drive it cuz the pcm is set at 60% line pressure and I swapped the 4l60e with one that is built/shift kit. I am afraid to drive it 'til the pcm gets flashed again.

I need to put the wheels on and trailer it to the shop. I hope the tuner comes this week.

Oh yeah. Finally the moment I have been waiting for. I fired the Z up tonight and moved it up and down the driveway. She runs great. Next week, I will take it down to get a flash tune. The shop will finish up the rest of the stuff. I cant drive it cuz the line pressures are set too high for the new trans. I will trailer it down next week.

I have severly missed the sound of the exhaust. Video is coming and I know, I am a slacker.

Got the z back today. Awesome ride. I have brakes too. I was only getting 7inches of vacuum. I added the pump and now I am at 20 in.
