For all those struggling with polished wheels...I've found the answer.

BLINGMASTER!!!

No, that's some some cheesy nickname that I've come up with for myself. Blingmaster is actually a new polish out on the market. I found the product on some other sites and was very skeptical. I mean with a name like "Blingmaster", I expected nothing close to a "perfect finish". However, with Zoop Polish and Meguiar's leaving "hazing" and a cloudy finish to my CCW's, I have been searching for a polish to bring back that clear, non-hazed finish to my wheels. After I read that Blingmaster was getting some awesome reviews, I decided "what's $20 if it works out"...and I ordered a bottle.

This bottle showed up two days after ordering....and I couldn't wait for a clear day to try it out. So I washed up the Hawk and took a wheel off for testing.

Little info on the test subject...CCW SP550. Not daily driven but driven a good bit. Seen rain, newly constructed roads with lots of dirt and debris. I consider the wheels to be clean and on a bright sunny day, they look great from any distance over 5 ft. away. However, the perfectionist inside of me hates getting close to them because all of the polishes as of late have left a "near-perfect finish". What I mean by this is that after hours of work, there still seems to be a haze and the finish looks cloudy to me.

Average time spent polishing with Mothers, Meguiars, or Zoop products: 1 hour a wheel. Sometimes more if the wheels are really dirty.

I pulled one of the rear 18x11's off and cleaned it up with Flitz Wheel Cleaner (recommended by the guy I talked to who sold me the Blingmaster).

Then I went to work. Blingmaster is a very liquid polish and a little goes a long way. The method I used employed a nice microfiber. I would apply the polish with one microfiber, working the polish onto the surface using light, vigorous motions. I was amazed at how far a little bit of polish went on a single wheel. After working the polish until it was black, I removed it with another microfiber.

Total time spent on one wheel: 15-20 minutes.

I'll let the pictures do the talking....

Can you tell which one's been hit with Blingmaster?

Unpolished front wheel...

versus polished rear wheel....

The best part of all this....it was quick and easy. Light pressure required and I was done with the one wheel within 20 minutes. Now I have to find a clear day to clean all of them up and get some new pictures.

See ya on the road,
Matt

Looks good Matt. Let me know how it does on the TT2's.
I need something besides what we have been using. Although Z/YA let us use some stuff he has and Jim really raved about it. We did not do a deep detail just whie at a car show. I will have to find out what it was called.

I don't think that it works well with clearcoated wheels.

HOLY CRAP DUDE!!! Thats freakin amazing!!!
And Jason... any clearcoated wheel needs cared for like paint, not metal... using a metal polish on a cleared wheel will ruin the clear.(usually powdercoat)... thats how the center sections of my Fikse's are... I only have to polish the outer hoop.
