Vht

I blacked out my tailights and all side marker light and put em on, now in the sun and after being driven i am noticing they have swirl marks on them and they arent as shiny as some of the taillights Ive seen with vht on em. Any advice? I put no clear coat on and I have approximatly 4 good coats on them already and want to go darker. I sanded the stock clear off of the lights before applying the vht and washed them thoroughly.

You may have to redo the surface of the plastic...that is probably what is showing through. 3M has a very good kit for polishing headlights, it no doubt could be used on tailights also to remove those swirl marks.

I think that 3M kit will do the job quiet nicely...you actually know better than I the condition of your lense, but this kit will make it smooth again, I am sure of that. I used it on the headlights of my 2005 Impreza.

That video was pretty good. When you used it on your Impreza did you get the same results?
