How to remove paint scuff?

Well this morning my apt gate closed on me while I was driving out. Luckily no body damage since it had a foam pad, however it was painted so it left a streak about 1 ft. long. It's only on the surface, in fact when I wet it and scrapped a little portion with my finger it came clear off.

Rather than scratch at that whole section with my finger nails and risk scratching to deep or damaging anything, can anyone recommend any cleaners or tips I should use to get it off safely? I don't want to damage the paint underneath it.

I was gonna get some Maguiar's Scratch-X but I think that is for deep scratches in the paint where as mine is more of a scuff on the paint.
Any recommendations appreciated. Thanks!

id wash the car at the carwash and try to get the washer on it a little more directly, in addition to the foam brush. or u can try to heat it a little w/ a blow dryer and scrape from underneath it with a credit card. shouldnt taken enough force to scratch the car.

this is very simple solution, buy a clay bar kit from autozone or napa and it will take the scuff off without any effort and it wont scratch the paint at all

Clay will definetly take it right off and if it doesn't, a little lighter fluid will break it down.
