Some folks are putting toughter a replacement for the cancled SLP CAD day Below is the Info....

"Atten: OFFICIAL SO CAL SLP CAD PICNIC EVENT
The replacement for the SLP CAD event will be a Picnic/BBQ at beautiful Castaic Lake in Castaic, CA, 5 miles north of Magic Mountain, in Valencia. It will be the same date, April 26th, at 9:00 am PST. The location is Lots #3 & 4, right in front of the entrance. There are enough spaces for 250+ cars. Please register with Diane after you enter, at the picnic tables, to get free gifts and such. Events are still being planned, but will likely include a car show with prizes, and hopefully, a raffle for SLP goodies. SLP has agreed to provide undisclosed goods for the event, the details will be worked out this week. There is a large, shaded picnic area adjacent to the 2 lots with 9 BBQ's for those who wish to display their Grilling talents, bring your own coals and fluid. I am working on getting an IN & OUT Burger truck to show up to feed everyone, so watch post updates to see if the food will be provided. There is lots of city water & restrooms. The park rules are basic, dogs on leashes, no (visible) alcoholic drinks, no speeding (the Sheriff's are quite strict around the park on this issue), so be cool. This notice will be posted on other sites, but please pass this along, so we have a super turnout and show our strength as performance car enthusiasts, I will suggest to SLP to e-mail all the registered LACR CAD participants about this event. SLP Performance Parts supports this event, and we appreciate their contribution. I hope everyone who is aware of this event comes out to meet fellow enthusiats and see the fantastic cars that will be at their best. See you all at the SLP CAD PICNIC.

DIRECTIONS: Going North on I-5, exit Parker Rd, turn right, to Castaic Lake Rd, turn right, entrance on right.
Going South on I-5, exit Lake Hughes Rd, left at exit, left at first stop, left at Ridge Route, to Castaic Lake Rd, entrance on right.
