Car Show in Huntington Beach every Saturday...

Guess what? I don't know if any of you guys ever go there, but some new found pals of mine told me about a car get-together in Huntington Beach, So CAL, on the corner of Magnolia & Adams? I decided to check it out, it goes from 6AM-9:30AM...
Wow.

I saw a whole lot of cars there, anywhere from 54 Corvette convertibles, a 69 Scarab, 2-3 64 Shelby Cobras, a GORGEOUS 64 Dodge Coronet w/426 hemi & staggered 4 barrels, lots of Ford coups, and get this, somebody drove up with a 57 Bel Air, twin Turbo, claims he was on the Bonneville Salt flats @232mph!!! Imagine driving a brick that big, so UN-aerodynamic, that fast? Someone told me that he's in the record book
Wowie. Someone also drove up in a brand new Viper RT/10, looks much better than the older ones. AND, a VECTOR twin turbo...trippy. Anyway, show up, you won't be disappointed. 5-6 older Camaro's, one SWEET 73 Z/28 clone, another REAL 67 SS 350. You got to go see this if you can!

Not necessarily!!! It's probably based on age demographics...Bet you're wondering what I'm suggesting...Well let's see...

If you're anywhere btw 18-26, it's excusable, you're partying, having fun, no major issues, still VERY carefree, and that's cool!

If you're btw 27-30, and no kids, then same category, you're STILL COOL

Now, if you're btw 30-39, single, & STILL partying, no kids, then maybe we have a slight problem of accepting responsibilities, and that's STILL COOL

NOW...If you're over 39, STILL PARTYING, then it's the midlife crisis!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! It's time to get busy with life
You know I'm kidding!

What color is your Z?

LOL well thought out there Carlos. I am 32 with one kid and I am not gonna wake her up on the weekend early, so it's all her fault!
And my car is metallic blue, hard to tell in those pics, I need to get better ones up.

Least you have pics, I don't have a digital camera, so I can't show mine off. Oh well, rather get my subframes installed than pay for a digital camera...

Boy I miss California! Huntington Beach is way cool! Lived near Yorktown and Bushard for years. Now I'm sweating it out here in Arizona. But hey... Arizona is cool too! I'll be back in HB visiting Dad on the 22nd. I'll have to check out the car-get-together on Saturday. Sounds totally cool. Just wish I had my 69 SS El Camino up and running, I would fit right in! Thanks, Later

Yeah I live at Beach and Garfield area. Lived here all my life so I know the city really well
Nice car by the way. Love silver.
Why did you move to AZ? I know someone dying to move to phoenix, loves that hot 199 weather. Too hot for me though.

The Wife... She didn't like California because of all the traffic, (Nebraska Girl). And frankly, when I have to drive on any of the freeways, niether do I. Plus, if you want to own a home, you need to win the lotto or have some wealthy parents or something. I got it all out here in AZ. Big house on an acre, No traffic, Nice car and Good weather. It's only hot for 3 to 4 months out of the year. That's why there's Air Conditioning! So, when I get a taste for California, I go visit Dad! It's all good!

OKAY! Class is in session.

Well well...

Hmmm...

Still cool or an old fart?

The FONZ would say, "If ya gotta ask, then you ain't cool."

Buddah would say that "It is all a state of mind."

Me? It don't really matter, for as long as you are happy, who cares?

Hey what's cooler: A 35 year old bachelor making lots of money & dates/sex up the ying yang, and for all intensive purposes, emotionally loney.

OR

A 22 year old with a child?
A child who probably adores this person, who very much wants their dad to love them & is more or less genuinely happy with life & the world cuz they know that daddy loves them???

Damn, I'm good.

And boy do I love my car!
Hey, are you guys going to show up on Saturday?
I was also told that there is a car show in Garden Grove every Friday night, I'll find out the exact address & give y'all the info this weekend.

Dude! Life is good! Even when it's sh#$%y, that's when it's exciting, cuz it ALWAYS gets better, eh? It never fails.

Don't get me wrong, I've had some terrible times in my life. Hey, I'm still here, and life has never been better. I just learned how to punch myself out of the corner a lot faster than what I used to do.

You'll learn. It's called OLD AGE.
