New Personal Best

Went to the Friday King of Street at the local track tonight.

I redlight second round . When I put the car on the trailer, I went on a little too fast and took out my inner fenderwell with my trailer ramp. Oh well life goes on.

But the highlight of the night was setting a personal best. Went 12.41 @ 109. That almost a full 2 tenths faster than my previous best time. I'm going to attribute the time to being the fifth pair of cars to go down the track. They must have had the track prepped mighty good. I'll post the timeslip up when I get a chance for everyone to see.

Rest of the night I was 12.6x-12.7x due to spinning a little off the line like always, but was fairly consistent.

Going back tomorrow for the Saturday Shootout, and they should have the track prepped better than tonight was so I'm hoping for some fast times again, and with the inner fenderwell delete mod going on I should go quicker because that's taking some weigh off the front end.

Just kidding on the IFW! mod.

Congrats, its always great to run quicker.
No matter how fast you go you get used to it. When I had the Beretta I got used to it no matter how fast it was, I did not even feel the 3 Gs it pulled at launch.
However I let my son drive it and it pulled his foot right off the throttle when he launched it. I have heard the same story from other drivers when they switched to a much faster car.

Was wondering how long it was going to take you to question me Joe.

But it's cool man no hard feeling from me, I went against my own rules by posting a time without a slip. Had a thread about it a while ago when the drama about who went how fast started and I got tired of it.

With how my car sits on the trailer, I cant open the door. I'm going to the track tomorrow and I don't want to leave the window down overnight with the car on the trailer so I have to crawl out the rear hatch lol. Timeslips are in the car still.

Since you called me out Joe, I'll climb through the hatch so I can stop all the doubters and stop being a hypocrite.
Posting times without a slip. I should be
Give me 30 minustes to get the slips, scan them, upload them and post.

Like I said Joe, no hard feelings from me.

Here you go. You can see as the night went on, my 60' times got slower, along with my 1/4 ET's. The car must have really come alive after hooking up on run 2.

No hard feelings Joe. Just trying to stand by my word.

Hey Phil a good fix for the door not opening on the trailer is to lay a plank of wood down where your tires will rest on the trailer. This way when you drive up the ramp and get on the trailer your car will be sitting a couple of inches higher than normal. Jim and Nora do this on their trailer and its where I first seen it done and works great Just an idea for ya.

Glenn, I'm either going to do that or make the driver side fender removable. I saw a guy at the the track last night with the removable fender and had an epiphany lol. I'm going to have to steal his idea.

A couple of 6' 2X12s works great. Good runs. That line lock will add 2 more tenths Phil.

Nice times. I will be happy if I ever get to the track to see what my baseline is

Why don't you just put Lambo doors on.
