Camaro Z28 vs TT Nissan 350Z
Well, this was my first (real) race against a worthy car. And let me tell you this, I was blown away. I was cruising down the interstate around 75 MPH with my T-Tops off, when I slowly came up upon a brand new black 350Z. Still had a dealer tag on it. Dont know much about them, except they look very nice. I'm confident it was a Twin Turbo setup though because that car was whistling something fierce. Anyways, I picked up a little speed and got in front of him. He didnt seem to do anything, so i sped off. About 2 minutes later he pulls up next to me. Skinny asian kid. I'd say around 20, driving it. I look at him and he looks back, and floors it. That thing took off. Being in the mood I was in, I didnt want to mess around, I floored it too. He moved to the right side of the highway (5-6 lanes) and I to the left. It was more or less clear road with a few cars here and there. Not a busy day or hour on the road. I was floored, yet he stayed a good 5 carlengths in front on the other side of the highway. I just couldn't catch that thing. He got the initial jump and stayed ahead. At around 130 mph he slowed down, and so did I. I was slammed that (are they 4 cylinders or 6?) I was beaten by that thing. BUT, I have a much newfound respect for turbo 350zs. It easily outpulled my Z28 between 70-130 mph. He pulled back to the center of the highway, and I gave him a thumbs up. He smirked and got off at the next exit. That's the fastest I've ever gotten the car up to, as well.

Those are not turbo from the factory 6 cyl 265 hp I think. Saturday I saw 3 of them the best ran a 14.5 with no mods. Unless this kid built his you should have owned him.

Like I said, I know it was turbo because it was whistling really loudly. Must have been built up, as that thing was LOUD. Don't know what was under the hood, but whatever it was, it owned me

yes ive seen the greddy turbo! but it was a prototype. as far as i know its not out yet!

It could have had one of those intake tract things that sounds like a turbo, he probly had intake and exaust, and if it was a 6 speed, of course he owned you on the highway, it is called gear selection. For a auto car to beat a manual car on the highway, it has to be alot faster.

yeah i have a bad ass ls1 99 and it has borla and intake and iis a 6-speed and i got blown away on the freeway buy a blue 350z and it was stock and im suprised with out a turbo those ****in things are fast.BY THE WAY MY BROTHER WORKS AT NISSAN NISMO TEAM .THERE ARE TWIN TURBOS FOR THEM AND GREDDY MAKES THEM. THANK YOU AND **** THOSE OTHER RICE CARS THIS THE ONLY CAR I RESPECT.350Z

i agree ! no damn lt1 piece can hang w/ and ls1 bone stock! your motor must have some serious upgrades. i kill lt1's all the time. ive ran lt1's w/ heads and cam when i was stock and destroyed them.
