Z28.com Official Dyno List

Z28.com Official Dyno List

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At long last, you now have a spot to post your dyno numbers and show off all the hard work you have put into your pride and joy! This is not a competition, nor a way to say someone is better than anyone else. It's simply a fun way to list the great rides you all own. It's also a good way to get a general idea of what types of numbers different combinations of modifications MAY yield.

In order to make this work smoothly, I ask that you follow a standard format for posting your information. Your dyno numbers should be what you made AT THE WHEELS. Please do not post flywheel hp, or numbers you THINK your car should be putting down. If you havn't run the car on a chasis dyno (your drive wheels spinning a set of rollers) and seen the actual numbers, then please don't post until you have. We want this to be as accurate as possible. Also, please post SAE corrected numbers if possible.

When submitting your modifications, please limit it to the basics. We don't need the brand of your fuzzy dice.

The format should be submitted as follows:

"Your screenname"-------------xxxhp/xxxtq(Year and type of car, major mods) SAE or STD

Lastly, this thread is not a place to post comments. It's for data only. If you wish to know more about a certain individual's setup, PM him or her for more details. We want to keep this thread as clutter-free as possible so it will be easier for everyone to access information.

Once updated, your post will be deleted by a moderator, and your car should appear in the appropriate slot on the list. If you have any problems of concerns, please feel free to PM to get them corrected. I will do my best to update the list as often as I can. ENJOY!

Hey, can anyone explain the "STD" and "SAE" folks are listing after their numbers? Is there a real difference and if so, which is considered more accurate and is there a magic calculation/formula that brings the numbers to the same "page"?
I know this string isn't for comments, but I think one good reply explaining this will help us newbies that don't have a clue what they mean.

STD is straight from the dyno, SAE is corrected for humidity and sea level. STD is a good inducator of what you're actually putting down, as most dynos you run on are going to be geographically similar to where you're actually driving/racing.
