there are several ways to launch a manual. I will assume you are on radials and traction limited.
1. rev to a low RPM and soft launch like you are taking off normally at a light, progressively roll onto the throttle until you are out bout 20 or so feet and and then nail the gas and double clutch. this basically gives you a second harder launch. If it still breaks the tires loose then you may have to "pedal" or "lift" once or twice and get back into it to make it hook.
2. bring the RPM up to 3500-4000 and just dump the clutch and then "pedal" the car until it hooks. (that means in and out of the throttle) this takes some practice but when you get it down, its an art form. The idea behind this is to start off in the power band but lift off the throttle just enough for the tires to bite.
3. bring the RPM up to 3500-4000 and "feather" the clutch just enough to get you moving as fast as possible out of the hole while also minimizing wheelspin. if you spin then either lift off the gas a little or push the clutch back in a little until you can take enough power away from the wheels for it to hook then feather some more. this will tear your clutch up good but if you get this down, its also an art form. The ideas behind this is to also launch you in the power band of your motor and feather the clutch to keep it in the power band while taking just enough HP from the wheels to make the tires bite.
4. By far the easiest and most brainless of all the launches is to put a set of slicks on, mash the pedal to the floor till your bouncing off the rev limiter and then just sidestep the clutch.... this will tear up your clutch AND break some parts eventually but theres nothing like a 6000 RPM launch on slicks.
good luck! have fun! Be safe!
