Thumbs up SFC/LCARB install report

Finally got around to having my SFCs and LCARBs installed today (after owning the car for 49 months). Both parts are Spohn. I asked around town for someone who would do a good job of installing the SFCs properly as well as doing a good job welding. And I'm glad I did after getting the car back. The installation looks great in my opinion and cost $120 for both SFCs and LCARBs. I'd rather pay a little more and have it done right than I would pay less and be displeased.

As for the improvements to the car....
I would say the SFCs eliminated about 70% of the t-top squeak. There is still some, but I would say it's due to the vibration transfered through the suspension. They didn't make the car as quiet as I would have hoped and if anything it worsened the ride on rough roads (probably due to the increased rigidness of the car). On smoother roads, the road feel and noise level is improved. The improved feel on the road during cornering/weight transfer is best aspect to them, in my opinion. The car has a more confident feel than without the SFCs.

I haven't had the chance to push the car yet because it started to rain and got dark after I picked the car, so I haven't noticed any changes caused by the LCARBs. That is also why I have no pictures. I'll post pictures and a more detailed description of the changes in ride/cornering tomorrow if weather permits.

$120 installed is not bad at all. Did you take your seats out and pull the carpet up for them?
I'm trying to get mine SFC's and LCARB's installed in the next couple weeks. Hoping it will alleviate some of the annoying creaks rattles. Although, I lost the instructions Spohn sent with them. Spohn's site used to have them, but I couldn't find them. I would like to have some instructions for the place I have weld them in.
Do you happen to know where some instructions might be available online?

If SUMMIT carry those SFCs they usually have PDFs of Instructions posted at bottom of item descriptions.

He guy that installed mine didn't weld to the floor, he welded to the rocker panel under the car. He said the floor board was very thin and thought it would be more rigid if he welded it there. I don't know other than to ask Spohn. I'm sure they can send you a set. If you want, I can just mail you mine.
Yeah, I've had the LCARBs for a year and a half and the SFCs since November... glad to finally get it done.
