I used these on the last car that I had
http://oreillyauto.com/EW3/ProductDe...¤tPage=0 its item 1280 I just wouldnt jack the rear end very high, you could also do it the correct way and use lower control arm relocation brackets with new lower control arms.

You could just lower the nose also. Strano, Eibach, and Hotchkis would all probably give you the look you're after. that way you close up the front wheel gap too and it would give the car a really mean look. Just my opinion though. you will need to remove the springs anyway when you change the shocks in the front and if you only want to lower the front you might be able to sell the rear springs. Another thought is if you decide to go with Konis they do have a lower perch on the front that drops the front end about 3/4", so that's another option.

I'm pretty sure Blue Thunder just lowered the front of his car and left the rear stock. Granted it's an LS1 car but can still give you the same idea of just lowering the front like Nighthawk said.

I lowered my nose as well but the rear didnt sit up too high until I put the slicks on it lol. Then I felt like I was driving my 74 with airshocks again

Ok gear heads, talk "girl" to me. What are slicks? What do you do about that piece in the front of the car, under the grill, back and underneath? You know, it scraps everything, parking bumpers, low grades, etc. So if I lower the front, its gonna scrape more. I do like the idea of closing the front gap. So what I think you're saying is to raise the rear and/or lower the front, I use springs, or - and - lower control arms? I will not be using Konis, cant afford them. Either KYB or Bilstein. Thanks yall!

KYB AGX over Bilstein for sure if any lowering is involved. I scrape the air dam all the time too but its really not an issue since its flexible plastic. I'd just suggest staying away from the eibach Sportline kit because they lower the car WAY down and are also too soft for how much they drop the car. Eibach Pro-Kit and Strano are both around 1.5 inches, the hotchkis i think tend to settle a bit lower if i recall correctly. BMR is another option but I wanna say they tend to not drop as much as other springs, that could just be a dud set I saw though. If anybody can confirm or correct what I said about the BMR and hotchkis please do. The Eibach pro-kits are everywhere so you could probably pick up a used set very cheap. I sold all 4 of mine for like $100 last summer. Probably wanna make sure its the LT1 kit since the Lt1 is a heavier engine.

Slicks are what you use at the track to get that extra traction (rear tires). They don't have any tread (thus "slick") and are for track only use.

Thank you Night Hawk I love you! Any thoughts on how much to raise back and how much to lower front? What about removing the air dam (thanks for the name) completely? Roy wants to, I dont.

Here is a pic of slicks.
and NO you do not want to take off the airdam. It is used to cool off your radiator and if you take it off your car will start to overheat. Also dont know how much your looking to spend on shocks but you could go with a set of Hal QA1s which are coil overs and with that your spring can be compressed or decompressed so you can set your ride height to whatever your heart desires ![]()
