im hoping that it was just because my car is 12 years old and that i can buy a new link and theirs no other issues. right now im at the naval lodge and i have to say its not that bad, just waiting for it to be morning so i can go to the auto hobby shop and find out. it scared the hell out of my wife and me as well just hearing a klunk and seeing a movement of sparks and a flying object behind me. pulled off the 8 and as soon as i turned into a lot got of of the car and see this little piece slowly rolling my way(will post a pic in the morning) the rest of the link. well ill be up in the am.

You should just be able to replace it and be fine as long as I am thinking correctly that this is the link and bushings that go to your front sway bar. More times than not if your car is a little older and they havent been wrenched on you will break them trying to get them off, so maybe there was a little excess movement on the sway bar and it cause it to snap I would replace with some energy suspension pieces, which you can get at Autozone.
