Raising Rear End

I have Bilstein shocks front & rear w/ stock springs. My car sits level and I want to raise the back for the muscle car look. I was thinking about replacing the back springs with something higher, keep the same shocks and put 18" rims in the back and either 17" in the front or I'll keep my 16" stock rims in the front.

What do you guys on here think about that idea? Or do you have any advise on how to raise the rear end.

What other adjustments or mods to I have to make to either the wheel well or suspension to raise the rear end?

The easiest way to go about getting a raked look is to keep the rear springs stock and putting in some Intrax (or the like) springs. I wouldn't suggest it, though, not if you want to keep your handling intact. It could also mess with how the car launches as well, because you'll be moving your center of gravity towards the front of the car. Also, I wouldn't put different sized wheels between the front and rear because you will run into issue with your ABS. The fronts will be posting faster than the rear and will screw with the computer. On the other side of it, if you are dead set on getting the butt in the air, you can put some air bags in the rear and pump them up to about 20lbs or so. Just some thoughts.

Cool idea, how do I go about installing air bags in the rear? Intrax (are they lower)?

I disabled my ABS when I removed my ASR (peice of crap anyways). Not too worried about that, but my speedometer may be off since I'll have different sized tires.

I see how the handling and center of gravity will change. I'm not going to lower the front because I have LT's and they are only 4" above the ground right now.

Is my idea a good one or should I think of something else? If it sucks, share some more ideas on what would work. Thanks.

If you don't keep these cars level, then your cornering will suffer a lot. But, if you don't get that spirited, then you can do what Paul mentioned. But I would advise against it.

if all you want to do is pick up the back....then look at my sig...for the free drop and do it...just dont take off the insulator...this will give you opposite affect and thelook you want......it will raise the back ....however i have the back a lil higher then stock but much higher then the front...thats because i have qa1s adjustable so dropping the front gave me the look i think your after ...i however dont like it and im trying to find some rear only drop springs...and yes like mentioned above when dropping or altering a ride height do you math you can harm things if not done right...so either do a 1.5 dollar mod and raise the back or find some drop springs to your likely(a few options out there) and get some relocation brackets i hear very good things about then to correct angle issues when dropping camaros....and about the bigger rims at the back and smaller at the fronts...i never really like that eithier however stuffing some 11 inch wide in the rear looks awesome
