Global West/Performance Suspension?

Global West/Performance Suspension?

Anyone have personal experience with either? I'm a trackday junkie on 2 and 4 wheels, so needless to say my 68 needs to handle itself. Anyone have any other suggestions? I just started looking and have been impressed by both, although GW would require me to rob a bank.

performance suspention technology (PST) has a nice kit. it will replace every rubber bushing on your car. i bought a kit for my 79 z and was impressed on how many pieces you get for the rebuild. buy a tube of silicone grease. the kit doesnt give you enough. coat em heavy or youll get squeeks. bought mine from summit a few years back for around 170.00.

I just ordered GW half inch body mounts. When I was looking at using conventional coil springs, I was going to go with GW components. I ended up with an Air Ride suspension. BTW, I have PST bushings in front, Energy Suspension bushings in back.

I want to put in subframe connectors, but want to make sure I don't lose any clearance. Do the GW connectors sit below the bottom edge of the framerails?

They are weld on. I'll let you know if they're worth it. From everyone I talked to, they are.

Global West has some really great stuff, although I am a Detroit Speed guy myself, as my 67 has all it's suspension from DSE.

I was originally planning on using all Global West components, but decided that an Air Ride system would give me both handling and ride quality. I happened across a complete subframe with the Air Ride components already installed and it works out costing about two thirds of what the Global West stuff would have cost, plus I get disc brakes in front out of the deal. I just finished making the Guldstrand mods to my upper control arm mounts. It took about 6 hours of work (mostly grinding and fitting time).

I did order some Global West components. I'll be using the short (half inch) interloc body mounts. I didn't realize when I ordered them that they were solid. Anybody care to comment on how this affects ride? I will also be installing subframe connectors
