air ride technology suspension

hey, just got done watching hp tv and i saw a lt1 camaro on there that was equipped with air ride suspension. it looked amazing. does anyone have this setup on there car. is it worth it. i want it to perform, and i don't want it so i can slam it to the ground. thanks.

I've seen a lot about the air ride stuff. It's very popular with the custom car crowd. If you're JUST looking for performance though, I'd probably just go with the standard tried and true parts. I kind of feel the air ride IS for slamming it when you want to.

I saw that episode a few weeks ago, though I don't think that you will get the kind of performance that you can get from some true and tried equipoment.

Would you really want a compressor and ballast tank taking up space in your car? I think not. Not practical IMO.

for the money you could get a adjustable coil over kit and have the ride height you want and better performance.

I don't know about you guys, but down here the last thing I want is any kind of construction debris going through my $1500 airbag spring while going down the interstate

air bags are cool, but from a performance anspect i would stay away from it. for the kind of cash you would spend you can get static drop springs an all the goodies that go along with it, and it will handle MUCH better.
