Borla exhaust sound clip on an L98 Iroc-Z

Some of you may seen a previous thread I posted a few weeks back, showing a couple picture's of the Borla exhaust system I'd just purchased for my 3rd gen Iroc-Z
-(For those who never saw the original thread and want to see a few picture's of the system, follow the link directly below)
New exhaust system just arrived for my '88 Iroc ....

I was asked to take a sound clip and I finally today, got the chance to take a short video.
It's almost impossible to find sound-clips for this exhaust on a 3rd gen, as not too many people have the exhaust, so I hope this video helps give you an idea of what the system sounds like.

A short description:

The car is an '88 L98 Iroc-Z with minor bolt-ons. (AS&M runners/ported Edelbrock base/plenum will be installed once the weather gets a bit warmer)

--------------

The exhaust consists of:

* SLP 1 3/4" stainless steel headers/ypipe
* Cat has been replaced by a 3" section of stainless steel tubing
* 3" Borla stainless steel exhaust.

Never mind the smoke you see in the video. It's not my car burning oil, it's just that the temperature outside now is just below zero. It's a 2 minute clip of the car's idle and I threw in a few rev's, just for good measure
I didn't want to spin the motor past 3000, 'cause my annoying neighbour's were outside and I didn't want to 'cause any hastle with them. As soon as I get the chance, I'll post some video's of what the car sounds like driving around.

Word of caution though, the video is not a 100% representation of what the car really sounds like in person. Even though the video was recored with a $1800 camcorder, the compression system used by most hosting web-site's, unfortunately, degrades the picture and sound of the original source. Still, it came out pretty good.

Turn up the volume on your speakers and let me know what you think.

Thanks guy's. I appreciate the compliments. I think it sounds pretty good too but it just goes to show, opinions vary wildly depending on who you ask.

I posted this clip on a few other forums as well and one of the comments left for me was "your car sounds like an old farm truck" ....

Normally, I'd be vaguely offended by such a comment but then I realised that the person making that comment, owned a mustang. Suddenly, his opinion quickly became totally irrelevant to me
