Painting polished wheels is a cake job my man, but you are going to want to use quality material. I would prep the area to recieve color with 600g and seal the area with some PPG DPLF etching primer that has been reduced 4:4:1. I would fog on like no more that 2 coats. Then lay down your base coat black and do three even coats and let that cure for about 20 minutes. I would then unmask the rim, wipe everything down with prep solvent and clear the entire face of the rim, that way you never have to worry about polishing the rim again. Again, I would use either PPG Deltron Acrylic urathane and concpet clear coat, or I would use RM-Diamont materials.
