255/50/16 on lowered car

Hey guys have not posted in a while just been lurking. Now its time to buy new tires and I am not sure which ones. I want the widest one that will fit my stock wheels and I know that is the 255/50/16, but will they fit under my car with a 1.5" drop? I am currently running 225/50/16 that are way small looking but they were free. So any opinions, will 255/50/16 fit or do I go with 245/50/16? I do not want different sizes front and back, I want to be able to rotate them. Thanks

There is a lot of camaro's on this site with a 2" drop and stock wheels. If it wasn't for my headers, I would have a 2" drop on mine with stock tires.

My car is dropped 2",had to get tires right away when I bought it and money was tight so it has 225/50/16's for now
but the take offs were 245/45/16's.
I assume so they wouldn't rub, anyway thought I'd throw that out there as an option.
