Test Drive

So my buddy (mike) came down for a visit and he was thinking about buying an RX-8 in a couple of months, so we desided to go test drive some. He was really going to maybe buy it and i was just there to try it for the hell of it. So he test drives a A6 (he doesnt have special manual skills like me). and the sales person was really cool about it he was like "go as fast as you think you can do around coners and such." so mike has his fun and then i pretended like i wanted one too so I test drove a M6, cause i got skills. and we get to these curvey turns and he says "go as fast as you think you can" so i said "OK!!!!!!!" I going around these truns at like 30 (mind you these are close turns) and he say "test out the brakes" so without another word I hit brakes coming out of the turn a 40 sliding alittle sideways, and said "hmmm nice brakes". so then we come up to this 90 degree turn and he says the same thing so what the hell it aint mine. 45 mph round that thing it stuck to the road. (really i should have hit it at 60 and dropped the gear). then on the way back he wanted me to race a stang...LOL

Then on the way home for the hell of it I test drove a 05 GT stang all i have to say..........

SUCKED.

(mike hated it too)

and dont worry just cause the RX8 did good doesnt mean im going to the dark side im still a died hard chevy man...

05 GT stang was very dissapointing indeed.

Also I heard an RX8 the other day with a great sounding exhaust, it was popping left and right. It really sounded good.

I have never driven one, but I have been in one, and I do like em. My old neighbor had an RX7 and that was also a really cool car.

We gad an RX-8 come into work a few weeks ago. I got to drive it into the Bay. I gave it a little gas after parking it and stock sounding I did not like the way it sounded. It sounded like an electronic car. Also...theh Oil Filter is a BITCH to change in those cars. It is up right next to the firewall under the cowl on the windshield. You have to twist and contort your hand and reach passed some hot intake crap to reach it, and then gotta get a hand on it...not fun!
