I need help from the Illinois guys and gals!

Ok, has anyone ever had their license suspended by the IEPA for emissions stuff? If so, did you get a letter saying that it was all ok? If so, have you ever had to get a new copy of said letter? Will they do that?? I desperately need to know this! It's a long story, and I don't have a whole lot of time right now, so I can give you the gory details later if you want them. Thanks a ton in advance!!!

the closest i came was recieving a letter saying it would be suspended such and such date (usually 15 days after you recieve the letter) I called the number and explained the situation mailed in the back portion of the letter and they told me to call back a week later i did and everything was cool. Im going to assume everything is ok since i was pulled over at least twice since that suspension date and nothing happened. I never recieved a letter saying everything was ok i just assumed.

Well, with mine we had traded in my car about a month before the test date for my wife's Nissan. Apparently they never recorded the vehicle changing ownership, and when we moved out here for me to go to school a year later I found out that I had been driving on a suspended license for a year! At which time I called the SecState and yelled a lot, then they told me to call the IEPA. I did this, and they sent me a letter saying my the suspension was expunged, but now I can't find the letter. I need this thing for an interview tomorrow (part time armored car guard), and I will DEFINITELY need it next year for CPD! So now I'm pretty much freaking out at anything that moves becuase I'm all wound up and without cigarettes for a few days...

Same situation for me but i had it resolved before they decided to suspend my license for a 2nd time. I would Call em and have them fax that letter over again ASAP. The IEPA people seem friendly they just need to speak louder so you can hear them.

Yeah, they were really quiet when I was talking to them last year. Much more helpful than the SecState people though. I'm gonna have to do that tomorrow morning. Only problem is that they don't open till the same time as my interview! The guy was really nice though, so I'm sure he'll be cool about it. I was just worried they wouldn't do it.

Oh, so you got a letter saying it was going to happen? I never got anything, and then all of a sudden, bang! I had no idea!!
