Car seat for Z28!!!!!

This may be a strange question but me and my wife just had a baby. She is just a couple of weeks old and her car seat won't fit in the rear passenger seat. We love to drive our z28 on the weekends and we are not willing to give it up!

Has anyone else had this problem and if so where can I find a car seat for newborns ( remember they have to face backwards) that will fit in the back seat of our 1997 z28.

Thanks any suggestion would be appreciated!

I would check ebay.......... is the car seat hiting the front seat so it wont fit? If it is doing that try and scoot the front seat up some.

We scooted the front seat up as far as it would go and it still hits it. I would love to by one on ebay, but does anyone know if any particular one will fit?

I actually don't have a problem in mine. I have the seat all the way forward and it fits with a few inches of clearance. I will see if I can get a couple pics when I get home tonight.

What are you using right now? Also are you using a base with it.

That is odd because I have a graco as well. DO you know what model you have. Not trying to be an arse but are you sure you have it positioned right. When you bring the front seat ALL the way forward do you have the seatback up as well as opposed to leaning back.

Grayco snug ride......... Yes the seat is all the way forward and the seat back is straight up? The car seat still hits the back of the seat...........and leaves no room for my wife 120 pounds in the passanger seat.

I really don't know what to tell you. I have the same setup. I can still try and get you pics tonight to show you, but other than that I don't know what to say.
