About Buying A Car

I've never bought a car all by myself before and I've always taken someone with me to look at it, but this time, I'm going by myself. I'm going to look at a black 4th gen camaro today. I dont know any of the specs yet except it has a hard top and has a hood scoop. I haven't seen it yet but my brother said it looked like it was in good condition. What are somethings that I should ask the seller? Is there anything I should take into consideration when buying a 4th gen camaro? Anything I should watch out for?

get the year, what tranny and motor. What model it is, and we will be able to tell you what can come on it and if the codes are right.

I called the guy and he said its a 94 6 cylinder automatic. he put a new engine in it and has 40,000 miles on it. Nothing's wrong with it. He said it's got a flowmaster. He's sellin it cause he's got a kid and its too hard to get the baby in and out. That's all I remember that he said. Oh yeah it has new plugs and wires. I'm gonna go look at it this afternoon.

He said 40 K miles. He also said that the owner before him didn't take good care of the car, but since he's had it, he's taken really good care of it. He said he's had the car for 4 years.

He told you how many miles are on the motor, there's more miles on the chasis. The odometer reading will tell you how many miles are actually on the car.

Spend your hard earned $ on a nice clean Z 28 with under $100k miles. They're very affordable!

I know this is a really stupid question to most of you, but whats the difference between an RS, SS, and Z28?

RS = v6 with ground effects one step up from base

z28 = lt1 350 v8 power and affordable

SS = z28 with some appearance upgrades and possibly motor and suspension upgrades as well

oh about 2 cylinders and 100 hp,
as someone already stated,
rs is just an appearance package, the z28 and SS are v8's with the ss being a special edition.

Thanks for the help guys, I'm not getting the second car I looked at. Ended up my brother made a mistake and it was a firebird. I liked it, but really set on a camaro. The search is still on...
