Prayer request for my family

Hey guys, my grandpa is in the hospital and he's been in and out of that ER for years now, but he has prostate cancer and it's finally taking it's toll on him. The doctors say he's on his last couple days. I'm just wondering if you guys could pray for him, that his suffering would go away in these last days. He's a good man and it hurts to see him go. I can't do anything because he's on the east coast and i can't even be there to say goodbye. It sucks, but just to know people are praying for him would mean a lot to my family.

Thanks guys. I just said goodbye to him on the phone. It hurts to do something like that. It was also very powerful because he was one of the few people i know who i can always look up to and he told me he was proud of me.

having recently lost my Father and both my Grandpa's I know exactly how you are feeling brother. You must put all your trust in your Faith. Know that he will always be by your side helping you thru life. He will always be smiling down upon you with great pride. It will help also bring pride in yourself knowing you have done things that would make him proud.

Cherish the fact that you were able to say good-bye and express your feelings for each other. That will help alot with closure. There often many times where people dont get this chance. I too was blessed enough to say our good bye's and I am so thankful for it cause it helped me alot. Even though yours was over the phone you still get that closure.

Find comfort in your Faith, Family & Friends. If you ever need a shoulder to lean on know you can count on us here brother, We are with you!

Yeah. That's one of the things he said to me. He was very short of breath and he's developed a heavy stutter, but his last words to me were

"I know the hardships you've gone through in your life and I've seen you overcome them. I'm proud of you. God is always by your side. Have a good life. I love you Jesse. Goodbye".

He couldn't have said any more encouraging or inspiring words for someone in his condition. Drew and i were talking, and he reminded me that it's not a final goodbye. It still hurts though. Thanks for all your prayers.

Consider it done Its pretty cool that you at least got to talk to him and say goodbye. That's a lot more than most ever get to do.

Its always very and I mean VERY hard to say Bye I still wake up some days thinking I am going to see my Mother, and on those days I just picture her in my mind and think of what a WONDERFUL woman she was and how I am who I am today because of how she raised me.
