    Opti Tips and Tricks

    anyone have any tips or tricks that help when replacing the optispark? im doing this thursday and i wanna do it right the 1st time.

    Make sure that pin is lined up or you will be mad.
    Coat the openings with high temp sylicone to water proof it.
    Are you replacing the entire thing or just the cap and rotor?

    the entire thing, also replacing the wires with MSD 8.5s and putting in my 160 t-stat

    Cool. You will have to loosen the power steering pump to route the new thicker wires. You will run out of space at the bottom and need tie wraps to keep away from pulley.

    With a 1993, your opti is going to look like this on the back. Pay attention to find the "keyed" slot in the splines. Line that up to match the other side and you should be good to go.
