OK there is one about how to tell, well mine doesn't have posi track and I was wondering how it works, and if I have to get a new axle completly or if its just gears in the Differential.

You can install one/have one installed. It's a unit that fits inside the diff, along w/ the gears. Detroit Locker, ARB, etc make excellent units. ARB Air locker kicks a$$!! You can have a full locker at the flick of a switch- nice for off roading, as well as the heads up stoplight races.
There is another way of making it a full locker that involves welding the spider gears...Hillbilly/Redneck locker I think is the 'technical' term. Never done it, just b/c once you do it there's no turning back.

ok what will I need I can't really find it or i'm just stupid.
No amigo, you aren't stupid....if I didn't off road for as long as I had, I wouldn't know a thing about them.
First off, you need to decide if you are going to keep your original gearset. By that, I mean how is the wear pattern? Is it even? Are any teeth chipped/broke? Are you happy w/ the ratio? Etc. If the pattern is off or there is any unusual wear, I'd just replace the ring and pinion (gears). This is also the time to decide what ratio you are going to use. *Most* third gen Z28's came w/ either a 3.23 or 3.42 in my experience, yes, 3.08 and 3.73 where some of the options, but the first 2 are the most common from what I have seen so far- I could be wrong, though. If you really want to be able to pull straight out of the hole, go with a 3.73 gear set...that *should* allow you to cruise at a decent rpm, as well as not take away too much top speed. If you are happy w/ your current ratio, just keep that ratio and buy a new set if need be, otherwise, "if it aint broke, don't fix it".
Secondly, you need to decide what kind of locker you want. Posi/Limited Slip will work only when it senses one tire spinning faster than the other. The clutches (or whatever mechanism it utilizes) will then reduce power to the slipping tire. A locker, like a detroit or any other by that name is just that- it locks them so there is no slip/differintation between the tires. The drawback to this is that when you take corners in town or on pavement, your tires will chirp a bit due to the locker preventing any difference in rotation of the tires. For a car driven the majority of the time on the street, I'd recommend some form of limited slip, or a type like the ARB Air locker, where it's a true locker, but you can switch it back and forth from open diff to fully locked diff. Hope this helps.

OK i have the 3.73 Gears and I haven't checked them YET, when I do then I'll know if I need a new set, and I do alot of street driving so the Last one the ABR Air Locker sounds like exactly what I would like to have.
ok where would I find the ABR Locker? I can't find it
Have you checked out summit or jegs yet? Otherwise, pick up a copy of either Four Wheeler, or Petersen's 4 wheel and Off Road, and look up some of the advertisers/vendors in there. Good luck to ya.
